Doctor Drone: Medical Supplies Delivered By Drone For The First Time

The future of food and medicine delivery has arrived with the first FAA-approved drone delivery drop in America. According to The Verge, the drone delivered 24 packages of medicine and supplies to a medical pop-up clinic in Virginia on July 17, 2015. Prior to the advent of drone delivery, supplies for the region were typically sent by car over bumpy rural roads from the nearest pharmacy, which is a 90-minute trip each way.
