An architectural company in Hawaii has come up with an innovative plan for tackling homelessness, reports the Huffington Post. Group 70 International, a firm based in Honolulu, conceived the idea to convert old buses into mobile shelters. Five buses will be retrofitted to include clean toilets and washing facilities, as well as sleeping quarters. Planners believe that the low-tech project can be accomplished using only volunteer labor and simple materials that can be purchased at any hardware store.

Not sure if you have enough free time to volunteer? How about just a few seconds then? That’s all it takes to sign one of these petitions to help those in need.
