The Hunger SiteCelebrity chef Vikas Khanna is a 5-star Michelin recipient and the owner of Junoon restaurant in New York. Back in 2000, however, Khanna was homeless and struggling. He even stayed in the New York Rescue Mission shelter for three weeks and cooked at the cafeteria.
Nearly 15 years later, having built a successful culinary career, he’s giving back to the community that once fed him. In this video, watch as he hosts members of the New York rescue mission for a family style meal.
